The sun roof does not stick above the roof or out of the vehicle when it is fully open. When it is just pooped up (moonroof mode?) it will not be high enough to hit this rack.

For that small a tire change it does not matter much. Just assume your speed is off by a mile an hour or so at highway speeds.
