All, I'm looking to add some forward lighting without hanging Light off the roof (bars), bumpers or hood / "A" piler. The front grill are looks like a great place if I can find a small bar that is not too tall. Has anyone done this?

I’ve not done it yet but have similarly looked into it. On the lower grill, it has a great mounting location on the support bracket. I’ve seen YouTube videos showing a 30” two-row light bar in there. For the upper bumper portion, I’ve seen very slim light bars from a company called OZ-USA (note - never used these bars, know nothing about their quality, but came across them in my searches). The catch is anything over 20” will block the hood release.
If you install anything, please post pics and how you did it.

SoCalMike: Thanks for the feedback. I visited the OZ website, the shortest one they have is 11.12" with the mounting brackets. If I recall my measurements, that about 3" too long. I 'm looking at the Rough Country Slim Line. It's the only one that I've found that might fit the bill.

6 Inch Black Series LED Light Bar - Slim Line.

I'll keep the this post up-dated.

I'm looking to do something like this also. I went on Amazon and started looking at all the lights. There are some slim designs that should fit in there perfect ! Good luck

Yes, Rough Country makes a 6" Slime Line light bar. I'm also considering their 6" flush mount lights. By putting the lights in the upper grill the challenge I see is rerouting the hood latch.

I found "Colight" last night. The have a 2" X 4" light that might be a good fit in the lower grill.

More to come. This is No. 3 priority stuff right now.
