Constant on or switched mod?

Hello,
I have an Android based headunit in my 2005 Sequoia that connects to my house wifi network for updates.

What I would like to do is install a switch that would allow me to do 2 things:
1) Allow the headunit to function normally- turning on and off depending on the ignition.
2) Allow the headunit to stay on when I turn the ignition off.

What do I need to do to make this happen and not destroy my electrical system?

Thanks,
Christo

I would say for as little as you will need to do updates just turn it on and let it update.

If that answer doesn't satisfy, you will need to run a fused constant from the battery to a selector switch. Then remove the ignition power from your head unit and run it to the same switch. Then run a jumper from the selector switch to the head unit to replace the ignition wire. You would then be able to select which one you want. https://www.amazon.com/Rotary-Posit...s=gateway&sr=8-4#immersive-view_1561110420519
