Hey everyone,

I just bought a 2004 and I love everything about it but I just discovered a bit of rust on the undercarriage.

Any advice on how to remove it and fix things up would be appreciated. Thanks.

That actually looks pretty darn good. Just got a 2001 myself. Your diff looks a little crusty, but the body and frame looks quite good. I would not worry about the exhaust and hangars as your will replace what needs to be when the sound tells you to. I got under mine (looking slight worse than yours), with a pressure washer, a wire wheel on a Li Driver/Drill, and hand wire brushes, and removed what I could. Then applied a rust converter, let dry, brushed again to remove excess oxidation, then coated with undercoating. Mine was done once by the PO or recall. Yours looks like either nothing was done (and likely garage stored not in rust belt), or the frame replaced. Check your other suspension components and clean/brush/proof/coat as needed.
